The acronym stood for something years ago when I created this robot however the name escapes me now. 

What I don't forget is how it worked - SAM was a facial detection turret, designed to be a security camera that could recognize trusted faces and track unknown faces. Later on, a laser was added to give me feedback if the turret was facing the right pictures of faces i had printed and placed around my room. This had the unfortunate side effect of when my dad walked in, he was immediately shot in the face by a laser, and it followed him as he tried to avoid it...

Built using a Rasbery pi for the brain running a OpenCV trained program then running an Elegoo board to control the servos.

I would repropose a lot of this facial recognition code for my projects at university.

While Living in Melbourne over Christmas 2022 I made an AI Twitch streamer, Using Open Ai's relatively new ChatGPT API I created a bot that would read a livestream chat, process the message along with previous responses and return an appropriate response which would be synthesized with a text to speech program, and would also return an emotion which would affect the "VTuber" character's mood while saying the line, mix this with some basic AI game playing program which would also send messages to inform the "streamer" what was happening in the game it was "playing" so it could react. 

I hope to return to this project in the near future, adding a proper voice synthesizer to make it sound more human, and have it set up on a server so that it could hypothetically run 24/7 as I think this would make an interesting experiment on the ways humans react to an Ai in the content creation space.

My Final Project for my degree at Aberystwyth University, Unfortunately I was never able to build this robot in real life as I graduated during the height of Covid-19 and as such labs and workshops where shut, so this project was done virtually. 

This project consisted of a rover that was able to follow another rover fully independently. With no communication between the rovers the follower would be able to track visually and follow the movements of the Leader bot. The Use case for a robot like this was as I wished to help with rovers in convoy on extraterrestrial planets where it took a long time for information to be sent. All you would need is to send a move command to One robot and all the rest would follow in convoy. saving information transfer times.
